St. David’s Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving community health through leadership, collaboration and education. The Foundation supports programs that address the most pressing health needs and provide the most effective advances in improved health.

What is the Foundation's relationship to St. David's HealthCare?

As a joint owner of St. David's HealthCare, the Foundation achieves its goals by investing the proceeds from the hospitals back in the Central Texas community.

Where does the Foundation focus funding to achieve its mission?

Our vision is to keep the promise of a better life by improving health and health care for all Central Texans. By focusing funding in six focus areas, St. David’s Foundation can focus on improving the health and health care of all Central Texans for years to come.

How much money does the Foundation grant each year?

How does St. David's differ from other hospital foundations?

We distribute grants to other organizations in the non-profit sector to help them establish and operate programs to serve the community. We also have the flexibility to shift our funding focus as priority needs change. Typically, hospital foundations raise money to fund the hospital itself or hospital programs in the community.
