About St. David's Foundation

St. David’s Foundation invests in a healthy community through funding, hard work, and initiatives to better care for the underserved and uninsured. As a joint owner of St. David’s HealthCare, the Foundation achieves its goals by investing the proceeds from the hospitals back in the Central Texas community. From its beginning in 1924, St. David’s HealthCare has now grown to include six hospitals, four surgery centers, and four urgent care clinics reaching from Georgetown to Kyle.

1924 St. David’s Episcopal Church works with several physicians to purchase a community hospital, which becomes St. David’s Hospital and continues as a single, nonprofit hospital for more than 70 years.
1996 St. David’s Hospital contributes its assets to a partnership with HCA. St. David’s Foundation is created, and awards first grant to People’s Community Clinic
1998 St. David’s Dental Program begins by providing sealants to AISD school children.
2005 First St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarships are awarded from proceeds of Toast of the Town.

Foundation grants $3.1 million.
2009 Toast of the Town celebrates its 25th anniversary.

St. David’s Dental Program expands to six vans and covers six school districts.
2010 Foundation grants exceed $24 million, with a total budget of $30 million.
2013 The Foundation plans to give more than $45 million to the community.
