St. David’s Foundation Announces Vice President of Community Investments

Published October 19, 2021

St. David’s Foundation welcomes Regan Gruber Moffitt as our new Vice President of Community Investments. Bringing more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, public policy, law, communications, and education, Regan has spent the last twelve years leading change at the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation—a private foundation supporting systemic change to achieve equity throughout Arkansas.

Regan joins St. David’s Foundation at a pivotal time in our Foundation’s journey to advance health equity and improve the health and well-being of the most underserved members of our community. Her passionate leadership, commitment to equity, and experience as a community leader will allow her to successfully usher in a new season of impactful work through collaboration and partnership.

In her role, Regan will be responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s strategic grantmaking, community collaborations, and strategic partnerships. Importantly, she will translate the Foundation’s vision and strategic priorities into effective, measurable investment strategies as we work to advance health equity in Central Texas.

Regan’s professional journey began in Texas as an ESL mathematics teacher with Teach for America. She later received a Master of Arts in Education at the University of Texas at Austin and served as a legislative aide in the Texas Legislature. Immediately prior to serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, Regan was an insurance regulatory attorney with Mitchell Williams Law.

“I am honored to join St. David’s Foundation as we continue to build upon the vital work underway to advance health equity in Central Texas. I am a strong believer in the power of coalition-building and courageous collaboration to activate change and improve the health and well-being of our neighbors,” said Regan. “It’s a privilege to return to Texas and a community for which I have such deep love, and I look forward to listening and leading conversations about our region’s most pressing issues with communities across Central Texas.”

Regan is active in several philanthropic and community organizations, currently serving as the Board Chair for Southeastern Council of Foundations and the Treasurer for Asset Funders Network. She is also on the steering committees for Arkansas Impact Philanthropy, Arkansas Asset Funders Network, and the Delta Philanthropy Forum.

We invite the entire community to join us in welcoming Regan to the St. David’s Foundation family and Central Texas region as we look forward to the impactful work that lies ahead under her leadership.
