After months of planning a wonderful season of parties for Toast of the Town 2020, we have come to the necessary decision that Toast 2020 will not go on this April and May as scheduled.
Ultimately, our decision is based on three key factors: 1) Toast of the Town’s concern for the health of our sponsors, hosts, and special guests; 2) St. David’s Foundation’s leadership and commitment to supporting wellness throughout Central Texas; and 3) the importance of providing direction and certainty as early as possible for everyone involved.
If you are also a sponsor of Toast 2020, you will receive information directly from St. David’s Foundation about the options open to you.
Presented by the St. David’s Foundation Community Fund, Toast of the Town is a series of unique events hosted in private homes and interesting venues throughout central Texas each spring to raise money and awareness for the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Fund.
All proceeds from Toast of the Town sponsorships and tickets—magnified by a two-to-one match by St. David’s Foundation Community Fund—are dedicated to the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund awards needs and merit based scholarships to Central Texas high school seniors for their education in health-related degree programs at Texas colleges and universities.
The St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Fund is one of the largest scholarship programs in Central Texas, supporting scholars from Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Since the program’s inception in 2005, more than 560 students have received the scholarships to study medicine, nursing, physical therapy, biomedical engineering and other health-related careers.
