Melissa Baez Belt is the Sr. Dental Operations Officer at St. David’s Foundation. Melissa is responsible for the daily operations of the dental program, management of the dental operations staff, stewardship of the dental operations budget, and overseeing formative and summative program evaluation. As a member of the Dental Leadership Team, she works closely and collaboratively with the VP of Community Programs and Director of Dental Programs to create and implement new processes to continually improve and maximize the daily operations of the Dental Program. Prior to assuming this role, Melissa held the positions of Dental Screening Coordinator and Dental Analytics Manager at the Foundation and has dedicated much of her career to public health dentistry. Melissa has a Médico Cirujano Dentista degree from Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico and a Master in Public Health degree from Texas Tech University. In her free time, you can find Melissa spending time with family and her two dogs. Melissa also enjoys live music, traveling, and learning about other cultures.
