Emily Burgess is the Senior Communications Officer at St. David’s Foundation. Emily manages strategic communications initiatives that increase awareness of the Foundation’s grantmaking, serves as a cross-functional partner across the organization, and is committed to storytelling to advance issues impacting Central Texas though effective and equitable communications. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2017, Emily worked at The New Yorker, Freud Communications, Global Citizen, and CATCH Global Foundation. She has a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. A lifelong learner and creator, Emily plays the lap steel slide guitar and makes seasonal jam, inspired by her grandmother.
