As we welcome in the new year, we’re excited to announce Shannon Ratliff II as the new Chair of the St. David’s Foundation Board of Trustees. Serving on the Board since 2012, Ratliff has long been involved with St. David’s Foundation, most recently serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. He also serves on the St. David’s HealthCare Board of Governors.

A native Austinite, Ratliff  has been deeply involved in the community and is passionate about the potential for philanthropy to play a vital role in advancing equity. Beyond his role at St. David’s Foundation, Ratliff is an attorney and renewable energy policy advocate who has worked at the forefront of the Texas energy revolution for the last fifteen years. He has also served in board and leadership roles at the Austin Children’s Museum (now Thinkery) and the Austin Community Foundation.

“The work of St. David’s Foundation over the last three decades to improve the health of Central Texans has had a tremendous impact on our community,” shared Ratliff. “As we embark on this new chapter, I’m so proud to be a part of this organization as we explore new ways of working to ensure that our investments and partnerships are community-focused and equity-driven.”

Lino Mendiola III will serve as the Vice Chair of the St. David’s Foundation, and Craig Hester will serve as the Foundation’s Board Secretary.

Ray Bonilla, our immediate past chair, assumes a new leadership role as Chair of the St. David’s HealthCare Board of Governors. We are deeply grateful for the more than fifteen years Ray has served the Foundation, from the innumerable contributions he has made over the years to his continued leadership in his new role. Every member of our Board of Trustees is a dedicated community leader providing thoughtful guidance and stewardship to advance the Foundation’s mission to advance health equity in Central Texas.
