Response to Reductions in Federal Funding

Rolling Funding Opportunity in Response to Reductions in Federal Funding

This funding opportunity is intended to help nonprofits serving Central Texas navigate significant and unexpected reductions in federal funding. Existing partners of the Foundation are eligible. The primary purpose of this responsive funding is to provide resources for organizations to help implement an immediate response and consider longer-term pivots.

Not intended to replace federal funding, these responsive grants are intended to fund costs associated with changing service models or approaches in response to lost or reduced federal funding.

The maximum grant amount for responsive funding is $50,000. Grants are one-time, flexible, and not eligible for renewal. Current grantees received a link to apply for this funding opportunity via email.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and funding decisions will be made within 45 days of submission.

The Foundation launched this opportunity in 2025 to better understand the impact of public funding losses on our community and to provide resources to organizations to pivot based on the impact to funding reductions.

This funding opportunity will remain open through the end of February 2026 as the Foundation actively considers how Rolling Funding may evolve in the coming year in response to the ongoing effects of public funding cuts.
